How to Share Reports and Insights with Your Team in AskBiz
AskBiz allows you to share dashboards, reports, and AI insights with your team and stakeholders. Learn the sharing options available.
Key Takeaways
- Share any AskBiz dashboard via a secure link or by inviting a team member
- Export any view as a PDF or CSV for offline sharing
- Scheduled email reports can be sent automatically to your team weekly or monthly
- Investor or board sharing uses read-only access with configurable data scope
Inviting team members
To give a colleague their own AskBiz login, go to Settings > Team and click Invite Member. Enter their email address and select their role: Admin (full access including settings and integrations), Analyst (access to all dashboards and reports but not settings), or Viewer (read-only access to specified dashboards). Team members receive an invitation email and can set their own password.
Sharing a specific dashboard
From any dashboard in AskBiz, click the Share icon in the top right corner. You can share with specific team members (if they are already on your account) or generate a secure, time-limited link. Links can be set to expire after 7 days, 30 days, or never. Links do not require the recipient to have an AskBiz login — useful for sharing with external stakeholders like investors or advisors.
Exporting reports
To export any dashboard or report as a PDF, click the Export icon and select PDF. AskBiz will generate a formatted PDF that preserves charts, tables, and commentary. To export underlying data as a CSV for manipulation in Excel, select CSV from the same Export menu. Exports reflect the current filter and date range settings on the dashboard.
Scheduled email reports
AskBiz can automatically email a report to you or your team on a schedule. Go to Reports > Scheduled Reports and click Create Schedule. Select the dashboard or report to send, the recipients (AskBiz team members or external email addresses), the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly), and the delivery time. Scheduled reports are delivered as a PDF attachment. This is particularly useful for weekly trading reviews and monthly board packs.
Sharing with investors or board members
For investor or board reporting, use the Investor Access feature in Settings > Sharing. This creates a read-only view of selected dashboards with optional commentary fields you can populate before sharing. You control exactly which data is visible — you might share revenue, growth, and customer metrics while keeping margin and cost data private. Generate a secure link that the investor can access without needing an AskBiz account.
