What Is the Business Pulse Score?
The Business Pulse is a single 0–100 number that summarises the overall health of your business at this moment. Think of it as a credit score for your business — a fast, synthesised view of how things are going across revenue, cash flow, customer retention, and operational performance.
How It's Calculated
The score is a weighted composite across five dimensions:
- Revenue Health (25%) — trend direction, consistency, seasonality-adjusted growth
- Cash Flow Health (25%) — runway, burn rate, receivables velocity
- Customer Health (20%) — retention rate, churn risk, LTV trends
- Operational Health (20%) — refund rates, fulfilment speed, supplier reliability
- Market Signals (10%) — social commerce trends, competitive signals, export market conditions
Each dimension is scored 0–100, then weighted. The final score is updated daily (or in real-time if you have Growth or Business plan).
Score Ranges
- 80–100 (Strong) — Business is performing well across most or all dimensions. Continue current strategy; use AskBiz to find optimisation opportunities.
- 60–79 (Healthy) — Generally sound, with one or two areas needing attention. Check your Daily Brief for specific recommendations.
- 40–59 (Caution) — Multiple dimensions are underperforming. AskBiz will surface specific anomalies and action points.
- 20–39 (Warning) — Significant issues detected. Revenue or cash flow may be deteriorating. Prioritise the recommended actions immediately.
- 0–19 (Critical) — Urgent intervention required. Contact your accountant or financial advisor alongside using AskBiz.
