Privacy and Access Control for People Data#
People data is sensitive. Before uploading individual-level payroll or HR data to AskBiz, ensure:
1. Data minimisation: upload what is needed for analysis (role, salary band, department, tenure) rather than full personal details where not required
2. Access restriction: use Settings โ Team โ Data Access to restrict HR data to admin users and the HR lead only
3. GDPR compliance: uploading employee data to a third-party system requires that AskBiz is listed as a data processor in your data register. AskBiz provides a DPA (Data Processing Agreement) on request โ contact privacy@askbiz.co
4. Aggregation for sensitive analysis: when sharing people analytics with managers, present aggregated team data rather than individual salaries unless there is a clear business need
