Using AskBiz for Client Work

You may use AskBiz to analyse data and generate insights on behalf of your clients (e.g. as a business consultant, accountant, or agency), provided:

  • You have written authorisation from your client to process their data using AskBiz
  • You have informed your client that AskBiz (and its sub-processors, including Anthropic's Claude API) will process their data
  • You have a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) in place with your client that covers AskBiz as a sub-processor
  • The client's data is not commingled with other clients' data in your AskBiz account in ways that could cause cross-contamination of insights

AskBiz's DPA (available from Account Settings → Privacy → Download DPA) covers our obligations as your data processor. You are responsible for your obligations as data controller toward your clients.

What You Cannot Do Commercially

Without a separate written agreement with AskBiz, you may not:

  • Resell AskBiz — you cannot charge third parties for access to AskBiz as if it were your own product
  • White-label AskBiz — you cannot rebrand AskBiz and present it as your own analytics platform
  • Build a competing service — you cannot use AskBiz access to reverse-engineer our methodology and build a competing product
  • Multi-tenant sub-licensing — you cannot create multiple sub-accounts under your account for different clients without a specific enterprise agreement
  • API resale — you cannot expose the AskBiz API to third parties as part of a commercial product without an enterprise API agreement

If you are interested in any of the above, contact hello@askbiz.co to discuss partnership or enterprise arrangements.

Building Internal Tools with the API

You may use the AskBiz API (Business plan) to build internal tools for your own business — for example, embedding your Business Pulse score in your internal dashboard, or triggering AskBiz analysis from your own workflow automation.

This is permitted provided:

  • The tool is for internal use within your own organisation
  • You do not expose the API key or API endpoints to external parties
  • The tool does not effectively create a multi-tenant AskBiz service for other businesses

For tools serving 50+ internal users, or any tool that will be used by external parties, contact hello@askbiz.co for an enterprise API assessment.
