How to Customise Your AskBiz Dashboard
AskBiz dashboards are fully customisable. Learn how to arrange widgets, set your default view, and create role-specific dashboards for your team.
Key Takeaways
- Drag and drop widgets to rearrange your dashboard layout
- Add or remove metric widgets from the Widget Library
- Save multiple dashboard configurations for different use cases
- Set a default dashboard that loads when you first open AskBiz
Entering edit mode
To customise your AskBiz dashboard, click the Edit Dashboard button in the top right corner of any dashboard. The dashboard enters edit mode — you will see drag handles appear on each widget card, and an Add Widget button will appear in the toolbar. Changes in edit mode do not affect other team members' views until you click Save Layout.
Rearranging widgets
In edit mode, click and drag any widget card to a new position on the dashboard grid. AskBiz uses a responsive grid layout — widgets snap to the nearest grid position as you drag. You can resize widgets by dragging the resize handle in the bottom right corner of each card — make your most important metrics larger and your secondary metrics smaller. The layout adapts automatically between desktop and mobile views.
Adding and removing widgets
Click Add Widget to open the Widget Library. Browse by category (Financial, eCommerce, Supply Chain, Customer, Marketing, AI Insights) or search by metric name. Click any widget to add it to your dashboard. To remove a widget, click the X icon in the top right corner of the widget card in edit mode. Removed widgets are not deleted — they remain available in the Widget Library to re-add at any time.
Creating multiple dashboards
You can create multiple named dashboard configurations for different purposes. Click the Dashboard dropdown at the top of the page and select Create New Dashboard. Give it a name (e.g. Weekly Trading View, Board Report, Operations Dashboard) and build the widget layout from scratch or clone an existing dashboard and modify it. Switch between dashboards using the same dropdown. Each team member can set their own default dashboard.
Setting your default dashboard
To set a dashboard as your default (the one that loads when you open AskBiz), click the Dashboard dropdown, hover over the dashboard name, and click the star icon. Your starred dashboard will be your default view. Other team members can set their own defaults independently — a sales manager might default to the Customer Intelligence dashboard while a finance lead defaults to the Financial Intelligence dashboard.
