AI Training Policy
AskBiz's policy on whether your data is used to train AI models. Short answer: it isn't. Full explanation of how your data is used and protected.
The Short Answer
Your data is never used to train AI models. This applies to:
- Your business data (sales, revenue, customers, products)
- Your conversations with AskBiz
- Your uploaded files and CSV data
- Your connected platform data (Shopify, Amazon, etc.)
How Your Data Is Used
Your data is used only to:
1. Generate your Business Pulse score
2. Produce your Daily Brief
3. Answer your questions in the AI chat
4. Populate your Business Tools (FX Risk, Landed Cost, etc.)
5. Run Churn Intelligence and Anomaly Detection on your behalf
It is not used for any other purpose.
Third-Party AI Providers
AskBiz uses Claude by Anthropic as its AI reasoning engine. When you ask a question, relevant excerpts of your data are sent to Anthropic's API to generate an answer. Anthropic's API usage policy prohibits using API requests to train models. Your data is processed transiently and not retained by Anthropic beyond the duration of the API call.
AskBiz's Anthropic API agreement includes a data processing addendum confirming this.
Aggregate Analytics
AskBiz does use anonymised, aggregated data for product improvement — for example, understanding which features are most used, or what types of questions are commonly asked (without the actual question content or any customer data). This aggregate data cannot be traced back to any individual user or business.
