Scheduled Reports
Set up automatic weekly or monthly reports delivered to your inbox — or your team's inbox — so you never miss a key metric.
What scheduled reports include
A scheduled report is an automatically generated email summary of your chosen metrics, sent on a schedule you define. Each report includes: a headline summary (revenue, orders, margin for the period), significant changes and anomalies detected, a comparison to the previous period and year-over-year, top-performing and underperforming products or channels, and a link back to the full dashboard for deeper investigation. Reports are sent as a formatted HTML email — no PDF attachment, no login required to read the summary.
Setting up a scheduled report
Go to Settings → Reports → New Scheduled Report. Choose the report frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly), the day and time of delivery, the date range the report should cover (e.g. weekly report covers Mon–Sun), the metrics to include, and the recipients (you can add team members, your accountant, or any email address). Click Save and your first report will be sent at the next scheduled time. You can also click Send test report now to preview the email before the first scheduled send.
Customising report content
By default, a weekly report includes all metrics from your connected data sources. To customise: click Edit on any scheduled report → Metric selection → toggle individual metrics on or off. You can also add a note that appears at the top of each report — useful for providing context ('This week included the bank holiday on Monday') or prompts for your team ('Please check inventory levels before Thursday order'). Notes can be edited at any time without affecting the schedule.
Sharing reports with people who do not have AskBiz accounts
Scheduled reports can be sent to any email address — the recipient does not need an AskBiz account to receive and read the summary email. However, the View full dashboard link within the report requires login. If you want to share a read-only dashboard view with someone who does not have an account, use the Share Dashboard feature (Settings → Sharing) to generate a view-only link that does not require a login.
