Historical Data Is Missing

Why historical data may not appear in AskBiz and how to get it imported.

Default historical import limits

When you first connect a data source, AskBiz imports up to 2 years of historical data by default (3 years for Xero). Data older than this is not imported automatically.

If you need data older than the default limit โ€” for example, if you have been trading for 5 years and want to see long-term trends โ€” contact support@askbiz.co to request an extended historical import. This is available on the Business plan.

Data from before the connection date

AskBiz can only import data that exists in your connected platform's API. If orders or transactions occurred before you started using the platform (e.g. you migrated from another system), they will not be available via the API.

Fix: Export the pre-migration data from your old system as a CSV and upload it via Settings โ†’ Integrations โ†’ Upload CSV.

Gaps in the middle of your data

If you have data up to a certain point and then a gap followed by more recent data, this usually means your integration was disconnected or erroring during that period.

To fill the gap: check whether the missing period's data still exists in your connected platform. If it does, contact support โ€” we can trigger a targeted re-import for the missing date range.

Data exists but is not showing in charts

Check your date range selector at the top of the dashboard. If the date range is set to Last 30 Days or Last 90 Days, historical data will not show. Set the date range to Custom and select your full historical range to confirm the data is there.
