How the Files section works in AskBiz — upload, manage, and analyse your CSV and Excel datasets from one place.
What is the Files page?#
The Files page is where you upload, view, and manage your CSV and Excel datasets. Every file you upload is parsed and stored securely so you can:
- Ask AskBiz questions about your data
- Power dashboards and KPI cards with your numbers
- Feed data into Forecasts, Expansion Intelligence, and other tools
What you can do#
- Upload CSV (.csv) and Excel (.xlsx, .xls) files up to 50 MB
- View file details — row count, column count, file size, and upload date
- Check status — see whether a file has been parsed and is ready for analysis
- Ask about it — click 'Ask about this' to jump straight into chat with that file as context
- Delete files you no longer need
How uploads work#
When you upload a file, AskBiz:
1. Receives the file securely
2. Parses it to extract rows and column names
3. Stores the parsed data in your private account
4. Marks the file as Ready when parsing completes
Small files (under 1 MB) are parsed in seconds. Larger files may take up to a minute.
