How freight quotes work#
AskBiz integrates with Parcel Monkey to fetch real-time shipping quotes from multiple carriers. Enter the parcel dimensions, weight, origin, and destination. The system returns quotes from available carriers ranked by price and estimated delivery time. This saves you from checking individual carrier websites and ensures you get the best rate.
Getting a quote#
Go to Shipments > Get Quote. Enter the parcel weight in kg, dimensions in cm, pickup address, and delivery address. Select the shipment type — parcel, pallet, or document. Click Get Quotes. Results show within seconds, listing carrier name, price, estimated transit time, and service level. Click Book on your preferred option to proceed.
Comparing carriers#
The quote comparison shows more than price. Check the estimated delivery date, whether tracking is included, insurance coverage, and any surcharges for fuel, residential delivery, or remote areas. For African destinations, transit times can vary significantly between carriers — a difference of 3-7 days is common. Cheapest is not always best if time matters.
Saving and reusing quotes#
