WooCommerce Sync Errors

Fix common WooCommerce connection and sync problems — API authentication, REST API issues, and missing orders.

API authentication failed#

WooCommerce connects via REST API keys. If authentication fails:

1. Log in to your WordPress admin

2. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API

3. Create a new API key with Read permissions

4. Copy the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret

5. Enter these in AskBiz when connecting WooCommerce

Ensure your site uses HTTPS — WooCommerce API keys don't work over plain HTTP.

REST API not accessible#

Some WordPress configurations block the REST API:

  • Check that your site's REST API is not disabled by a security plugin
  • Verify the permalink structure is not set to 'Plain' (WooCommerce REST API requires pretty permalinks)
  • If you're behind a CDN or firewall, ensure API requests are allowed through

Missing orders#

If orders are missing:

  • AskBiz imports completed and processing orders — not cancelled, failed, or pending payment
  • Check the API key permissions — it needs Read access
  • Large stores may take longer for initial sync
  • Verify the correct store URL was entered during connection
