PayPal Sync Errors
Fix common PayPal connection and sync problems — authorisation issues, missing transactions, and business vs personal accounts.
Connection failed#
PayPal connection requires a Business account. Personal PayPal accounts are not supported.
1. Go to Sources and click Connect PayPal
2. Log in with your PayPal Business credentials
3. Approve the read-only data sharing request
If it fails, verify you're using a Business account and that your account is in good standing.
Missing transactions#
If transactions are missing after sync:
- AskBiz imports completed payments, refunds, and withdrawals
- Pending, held, or disputed transactions may not appear until resolved
- Initial sync may take up to 15 minutes for accounts with large transaction history
- Check the currency — multi-currency PayPal accounts import all currencies
