How to assign and reassign engineers to service jobs, manage engineer skills, and handle additional issues discovered during repair.
Assigning an engineer#
From the service job, tap 'Assign Engineer' and select from your available engineers. You can filter by skill or availability. The assigned engineer receives a notification with the job details, fault description, and any intake photos attached to the record.
Engineer skills and specialisations#
Each engineer profile can list their skills and specialisations, such as screen repair, logic board work, or software diagnostics. When assigning jobs, AskBiz highlights engineers whose skills match the reported fault, helping you route work to the right person.
Reassignment and additional issues#
Engineers can be reassigned if priorities change. Engineers may also log additional issues discovered during the repair. These additional findings can trigger a revised quote to the customer before further work proceeds, keeping the process transparent.
